Let it go!

What does it mean to really let go? How do we get to the place where we are no longer holding on to stuff? I believe we arrive at such destination when we find a purpose to live for that drives us to want the future God has for us. We can genuinely let go when we find a fulfilment that overrides the stuff we are holding on to. This is the place where we recognise that whatever happened to us cannot determine what will happen in the future unless we allow it.

Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces w settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Philippians 4:6-7 (MSG)
