A call to prayer and fasting

Happy New Year! I believe that no matter how your 2019 has played out, God has been good to you because you are still here. Cathy and I join you and yours to say “Praise the Lord! Hallelujah”! In His presence

I came into the presence of God one morning but I couldn’t pray because I was distracted by events going on in my life. God said to me, “You need to talk to me about these events. I just don’t want you to come to me and just pray away, but when you come into my presence, I want all your thoughts and worries”. I spent most part of my morning running through everything that was bothering me and oh my, that felt good. All the anxiety and stress I was feeling earlier all dissipated by the time I was done talking.

Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
Philippians 4:6-7 (MSG)

Life experiences adds onto us baggages and weights we were never meant to carry. All the unproductive stuff hanging onto us, weighs us down and hinder us from growing and so God cuts it all off so we can be fruitful. (more…)
