God is not angry

Growing up, I always thought it was ok for a bad things to happen to bad people. I believed in the rule of reaping and sowing; you know, what you sow is what you get. There have been countless times I thought people deserved the stuff they are going through because they caused it in the first place. The scientists put it this way, ‘action and reaction are equal and opposite‘. When I played the brother of the prodigal son,  if you are familiar with that bible story or when I played Jonah who wants the City of Nineveh to be destroyed because they are sinners. In His presence

I came into the presence of God one morning but I couldn’t pray because I was distracted by events going on in my life. God said to me, “You need to talk to me about these events. I just don’t want you to come to me and just pray away, but when you come into my presence, I want all your thoughts and worries”. I spent most part of my morning running through everything that was bothering me and oh my, that felt good. All the anxiety and stress I was feeling earlier all dissipated by the time I was done talking.

6-7 Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life.
