Intro

Have you ever stopped to consider what it means to be created in the image and likeness of God? God's heartfelt desire has been to be closely connected to His beloved creation from the beginning of creation. We can see in Genesis 1 that God declared, "Let Us make mankind in Our image and after Our likeness and let them have complete authority over everything". This means we were intentionally designed to live and function like God, with authority and dominion.

In Revelation 4:5, we are introduced to the seven flaming torches that represent God's seven Spirits. "Out from the throne came flashes of lightning and rumblings and peals of thunder, and in front of the throne seven blazing torches burned, which are the seven Spirits of God [the sevenfold Holy Spirit]" Revelation 4:5 (AMPC).

Isaiah 11:2 beautifully describes each of the seven Spirits of God: Spirit of Knowledge, Spirit of Counsel, Spirit of Wisdom, Spirit of Understanding, Spirit of Strength, Spirit of the Fear of the Lord, and the Spirit of the Lord.

Even more exciting is that these very same Spirits of God live within us, guiding us towards the abundant life that God has destined us for. With the indwelling of these powerful Spirits, we can walk confidently in the fullness of who God created us to be. It's a remarkable thought that, as believers, we have access to these incredible resources that enable us to live in alignment with God's will.

So, what does this mean for us in our daily lives? It means that we have the ability to tap into the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God whenever we need it. It means that we can trust that the Spirit of Counsel guides the decisions we make and that we have the strength to overcome any obstacle with the help of the Spirit of Strength. It means that we can live our lives in reverence and awe of the Lord, with the assurance that the Spirit of the Fear of the Lord will keep us on the right path.

As believers, we have been blessed with an incredible gift. Let us remember to tap into the power of the seven Spirits of God and walk confidently in the fullness of who God created us to be.
